For sale here we have a D.G. (Don) Schroeder 8' 5wt 3/2 bamboo rod. Serial no. 12095. The rod is in near mint condition. All sections are full length and straight. The rod features darkly tempered cane with transparent amber wraps and crimson tipping. Crimson wraps at the ferrules. Bright guides. Original owner's name is written on the butt section along with the rod details. Bright nickel silver sculpted checks. The ring hook keeper is uniquely attached to the cork itself. Full wells grip 6 1/2" in length. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat with a beautiful mortised walnut spacer. "D.G. Schroeder Rod Co." is stamped on the screw-lock ring. The original owner's name is stamped on the bottom of the buttcap as well. The oxidized, truncated, Swiss-style ferrules are size 11/64 and 14/64, the fit is nice and tight as it should be. The rod includes finely knurled aluminum ferrule plugs. The rod weighs 4 1/2 oz. The action is medium fast and very smooth. The rod feels light and well balanced in the hand. A terrific all-around trout rod in a very versatile length. Includes original bag with stiffening dowell and tube with label and fine brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
