For sale here we have a Scott "G" -- 9' 6wt 4 pc. graphite fly rod. Model no. G906/4. Serial no. 166880. Built in Telluride, Colorado. This one of the original G rods from the very end of the series shortly before the introduction of the G2 series. The rod is in excellent used condition.
The rod features an unsanded natural graphite blank, a hallmark of Scott rods. The wraps are a dark silver with maroon tipping as well as white tipping at the winding check, female ferrules and tip-top. The red script remains as clean and bold as the day it was written. U-shaped hook keeper. The reverse half wells grip 7" is only lightly soiled. Nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a rosewood spacer. There is some light wear to the butt cap. The spigot ferrules have a perfect fit with a 1/4" gap between section to allow for wear over time. Red witness dots for easy set-up. The rod weighs in at 3.75 oz. The G series of rods has quite the fanbase and is known for its wonderful action. It tends to be a bit slower than most graphite allowing for the utmost finesse and precision. This particular rod is an excellent all-around six-weight. Perfect for everything from far and fine fishing on lakes and large rivers to throwing streamers.
Includes the original bag and tube. Don't miss out on this modern classic.
