For sale here is a 1980's Scott "G" Model 90-6/4 - 9'0" 6wt 4 pc. Serial no. 13199. The rod is in excellent condition. Un-sanded blank, characteristic of Scott rods. Burgundy wraps with white and gray tipping at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. The original owner's name is written on the butt along with the Spigot ferrules for a more efficient transfer of energy, there is a 1/4" gap between sections to allow for wear over time. The mid male shows a bit of wear and damage to the tip of the spigot, this does not affect performance in any way. U-shaped hook keeper. Unique "G" rod grip that is a reverse Ritz shape with a varnished burl cork ring at the nose of the grip. Bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised cork spacer. The rod weighs 3.05 oz. The action is fast yet retains feel and finesse, a quality that the "G" series rods are known for. This rod is perfect for all your heavier trout situations from streamers to big hairy dries to nymphing.
The rod includes a replacement bag and the original tube with "PowR-Ply" label. Unlike most graphite rods the G series rod retain their value due to increased collectability.
