For sale here is a not often seen Ted Simroe 8' 6wt 2 pc. graphite fly rod. Model T-296. The rod is in excellent condition and oddly has been fished with the plastic shrinkwrap still in place over the grip.
The rod features a sanded maroon blank with matching wraps and silver tipping. Bright guides. Ceramic stripper. The white script remains clean and bold. Ring hook keeper. Full wells grip 6" in length with light soiling outside the shrinkwrap. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a rosewood spacer. The sleeve-over ferrules fit together nice and tight as they should. The rod weighs in at 3.05 oz. The action would be considered medium-fast by today's graphite standards and though not as fast this slower action affords the caster much more finesse, feel, and delicacy. A great rod to have around when delicate presentations are needed. Includes the original bag and tube.
