For sale here is South Bend/Cross Doublebuilt Model 155 8'6" 6wt 3/2. The rod is in fair condition and would be an excellent candidate for a restoration. The rod is complete, full length, and original but would need to be re-wrapped and varnished. The ferrules are in great shape and fit nicely. It would also need a new grip as there are a few chunks missing currently. The reel seat is in excellent shape and dates it to before WWII. It could be fished as is but not for long. The Doublebuilt rods were the finest South bend ever produced. The rod is made of six strips of bamboo inside of an outer six strips hence the name. This imparts a great deal of power into the rod for its size and weight. The Model 155 is was described by South Bend as a Bass Bug fly rod, I'm sure it would live up to it's description. Ferrule sizes 18/64 and 11/64. Comes with original bag and tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items.
