Spartan Fly Tying Vise

VFT1144

For sale here is an HMH-style "Spartan" fly tying vise with two pedestal bases as well a c-clamp. This is a very well crafted replica of the classic API/HMH vise and could very well be an early version though there are no marking or stamps. The vise remains in excellent condition appearing to have seen little to no use. The vise is an exact 2/3 replica of the HMH Standard Vise.

The vise has a 3/8" stand rod 6" in length. The vise is equipped with the Omni jaw capable of holding a wide range of hooks from fully dressed salmon flies down to tiny midge patterns. The base is made of powder-coated cast-iron and hefty enough to be able to spin deer hair with ease. The head of the vise pivots as well as rotates to let the tyer hold the fly at whatever angle they choose.

This is finely crafted and machined vise and its size, as well as extra bases, allow for convenient traveling. Includes spare Delrin washer.

Don't miss out on this terrific vise!
