For sale here we have a beautiful Takemoto 8'6" 3/2 5wt. Model no. 0303D. The rod is built with a "Hollow T" construction, three triangular voids leaving an interior T-shape. The rod is in mint condition. Dark straw colored cane with a matte oil finish. Transparent wraps with fine black tipping. Wraps at ferrules are a deep chocolate brown with a red tint, also with fine black tipping. Patent pending blued single wire/single foot line guides. Fiberglass ferrules, the female sleeves are jet black while the males are a magenta color. The fit is perfect. Swelled butt. A full wells grip with very little taper and reminiscent of an E.C. Powell grip. The 1/2" cork rings are of the highest quality. Blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with fine knurling. The mortised burl wood spacer is highly figured and stunning in appearance. The well thought out and clean features give the rod a very elegant, minimalist look. The action is a very nice full flexing medium-fast. The rod can be felt flexing into the swelled butt. The rod weighs a lean 3.80 oz. Comes with original tube and bag with dowell stiffening rod and a 1" section of a Hollow-T blank demonstrating the construction of the rod. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
