For sale here is a bamboo rod made by RD (Bob) Taylor - 7' 2/2 for a 4 weight line (Model 24). Serial no. 288. The rod is in excellent used condition. All sections are full length and straight. Medium flamed cane. Deep golden wraps with red tipping. Red, gold, and plum tipping at the winding check and male ferrules. Blued hardware throughout. Ring hook keeper. Swelled butt. Cigar grip is soiled but in excellent shape. Nickel silver checks on either side of the grip. Handsomely blued cap and ring over a very nice walnut insert. There are a few minor marks on the insert from a reel foot. The bluing also shows some wear around the edges. Stamped on the buttcap is, "RD TAYLOR MAKERS". The ferrule fit is perfect. The rod weighs 3 3/8 oz. The action is medium-fast and has a nice action for dry fly fishing. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings as well as a canvas cover for the tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
