An extremely rare Ted Godfrey Anti-Reverse salmon reel with a spare spool, 3 7/8" diameter and set up for RHW. I don't believe I've ever seen one of these models from Ted, and it is an early reel, as the included paperwork dates the purchase of this reel to September of 1986. Near mint condition with just one or two tiny traces that indicate the reel has been used. It is in very clean condition overall, and it could not have been used much. The spare spool has backing loaded on it and shows a few traces of wear as well (the spool currently loaded on the spool shows less). Anti-Reverse drag, as mentioned, with a single handle. The drag is adjusted via the dial that rests over the base of the handle. The side plates are wood and are in terrific shape, while the frame is silver anodized and both spools are black anodized. The pillars appear to be stainless steel, and as is customary with Ted's reels, the reel foot is mounted on double cross pillars. The reel and spare spool pack into a suede drawstring bag, and inside the bag is the original care paperwork that Ted provided with the reel and is an interesting read. This is one of the more intriguing reels that has come across my desk recently, and I doubt very many were made.
