A lightly used Ted Simroe fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, built for what feels to me like a #4 line (and I've listed it as such). Serial #680A. This is a medium action rod. Lightly used, about 90% mint. Blonde bamboo in a three up node pattern construction. Light yellow or tan wraps with green edges. The edges are wrapped fore and aft at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Chrome stripper, guides, and tip tops. All the rod hardware is polished. Ferrules are super z style. Very nice varnish. "T Simroe--Maker" is lettered on the reverse of the wrap flat. "3804 #680" is lettered 2 flats left. The keeper is one flat right. The grip is a blunt western profile, 6" long with 12 corks. Very little grip soiling. There is a hidden pocket cap under the heel of the grip. The reel seat is a polished aluminum up lock screw lock, with a nice target turned into the bottom cap. The wood spacer is nicely varnished mahogany or spanish cedar. The rod bag is a gray olive color and the rod tube is painted brown with a heavy brass collar and top.
