For sale here is a Thomas and Thomas Grilse Bamboo Rod from T&T's Individualist Series. Taken from the 1990 catalog, "A powerful 8'6 rod for #7 line that will make the time on your favorite salmon river more rewarding and less tiring". The rod is in excellent+ original condition throughout. The rod features a nickel silver screwlock slide band and lock ring, hand buffed; with detachable 5" fighting butt. Morticed burled walnut reel seat spacer (has some marks from use) and a western grip (slightly soiled). Mirrored tips. Elegantly swelled butt, bright guides, oxidized ferrules, great ferrule fit. "Every Individualist rod boasts a hand-rubbed, high-gloss varnish finish". "The attractive flamed cane used for T&T rods is complemented by translucent tawny rose guide wraps.....". T&T used these red wraps from approximately 1989 through 1992 according to their catalogs.Comes with original bag with stiffener, brass-capped aluminum tube with nice label. The fighting butt fits into a separate section of the bottom of the tube (the cap at that end screws off as well). The rod weighs 7 3/8 oz (the catalog and label weight is listed as 4 3/4 oz -- cane only I'm guessing). The rod is serial number 4886. Don't miss out on owning this classic T&T rod!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
