A nice Thomas & Thomas “Hendrickson” bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #3573. This model is very hard to find in a three-piece configuration. The rod weighs 4.7 ounces. Very good lightly used condition. There are no cosmetic ferrule wrap cracks that I could see and no brassing to the ferrule or oxidation on the cap and ring. There is a touch of brassing to the inner snake guides. Medium semi full flexing action. Varnished oven tempered cane and three up node configuration. Light tan, almost transparent main wraps with brown edges on all, wrapped dark brown at the ferrules. Black edges at the keeper, male ferrules, and tip tops. Carbide stripper and black snakes. The Swiss style ferrules are oxidized and feature a collar on the males. Both ferrules have a small circular T&T logo stamped on them. The ferrule fits are fine and rod sections are straight. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a cigar profile. The grip has been cleaned with some light sanding. The reel seat has been hand flatted with a superb coat of varnish to the walnut spacer. The oxidized cap and ring is stamped “Thomas & Thomas, Makers” in a cartouche. The rod packs in a tan cloth bag with a stiffener and a brushed aluminum tube with brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
