For sale here is a Thomas and Thomas Montana Bamboo Rod from T&T's Individualist Series. Taken from the 1990 catalog, "The first choice of many anglers for all-purpose fishing. And 8'6" rod for #6 line that throws a long line comfortably but is just as effective in close. Medium fast action with balance and power". The rod is in excellent original condition. The rod features a nickel silver screw-lock slide band and lock ring, hand buffed; with morticed burled walnut reel seat spacer (shows marks from use) and western grip (cleaned at some point). Mirrored tips (the second tip has a slight fishing set). Elegantly swelled butt, oxidized guides, tip tops, and ferrules (great ferrule fit but shows some bluing loss). "Every Individualist rod boasts a hand-rubbed, high-gloss varnish finish" (the varnish in the butt section is chipped in a few places but there are no hook digs in the cane). "The attractive flamed cane used for T&T rods is complemented by translucent tawny rose guide wraps.....". T&T used these red wraps from approximately 1989 through 1992 according to their catalogs. Comes with original bag with stiffener, brass-capped aluminum tube (dented in one place) with nice label. The rod weighs 6 1/2 oz (the catalog and label weight is listed as 4 1/2 oz -- cane only I'm guessing). The rod is serial number 4624. Don't miss out on owning this classic T&T rod!
