For sale here is a FE Thomas Special Streamer Bamboo Rod 8'6 3/2 for a 6/7 weight. Serial #H385 is listed in the 1941 Thomas ledger as a 8 1/2' Thomas Special, Streamer taper, with Hardy style locking seat, Payne style grip, Dark Brown silk tipped with Green, and weighs 5 3/8 oz. It was completed on 9/16/1941, and delivered to Marshall Field on 3/16/1943. Ferrules are 11/64 and 18/64. Fixed hook-keeper. The rod was refinished by Jim Schaaf in 1997 and remains in excellent+ condition, although he applied red tipping to the wraps instead of the original green as noted in the Thomas ledger. Comes with a replacement bag and original tube with only the slightest remnants of the original Thomas tube decal. These Streamer rods are hard to find and wonderful fishing rods. The fact that this one has been refinished doesn't take away from its value as a rare FET rod. Reasonable offers are always welcomed.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
