For sale here is a very limited edition Thomas and Thomas "Jus' Swell" bamboo rod in unused condition. 7', 2/2 for a 4 weight line. Made in 1987. Beautifully flamed bamboo combined with a dramatic execution of tapers - taking the graceful swelled butt design of all T&T rods to its limit. Six strips of bamboo that continue from the rod to the unified grip without interruption by cork or superfluous embellishment. Transparent caramel silks with chestnut brown tipping. Black silks with forest green and black tipping at the ferrules. Nickel silver sliding band reel seat over bamboo. The number 10 is stamped in the bottom of the butt cap. The rod weighs 4 1/8 oz. Size 13/64 size ferrules. Original bag with stiffener and brass capped black T&T tube.
The rod tube was delivered by T&T with a plastic tube cover and a strip of clear tape that sealed the plastic covering. I was the first person ever to take the original tape off to inspect the rod. This rod had never seen the light of day! However, a few of the silk wraps display the "frosting" effect. There was a time period when T&T experienced some frosting in the wraps. These are not dried but only a color reaction with the clear wraps. Troy at T&T confirms it is only an aesthetic issue. But it is worth a mention.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
