For sale here is an absolutely stunning Thomas & Thomas "Montana" 8'6 2/2 6wt from the Individualist Series, T&T's highest grade of rods. Serial no. 5719. This one is in near mint condition having only been lawn cast.
Beautiful mottle-flamed cane with translucent caramel wraps tipped in cinnamon. Lightly oxidized guides. The script remains clean and bold. The tips are numbered for convenience. Classic T&T dramatically swelled butt. Ring hook keeper. Reverse half wells grip measuring 6 1/2" in length. Bright nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a gorgeous mortised burl walnut spacer. "Thomas & Thomas Makers" is stamped in the locking ring. The oxidized Swiss-style ferrules are size 14/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 6.15 oz. with a medium-fast dry-fly action and tips that allow for finesse and tippet protection. The swelled butt provides ample power. Includes original bag with stiffening dowel and brass capped powder coated tube with label.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop).
