For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas Salmon 8'6" 2/2 7wt bamboo fly rod. Serial no. 4615. The rod is in excellent plus overall condition. The original fighting butt section is included. All sections are original, full length and straight. Richly flamed cane with bright red transparent wraps. Beautiful varnish, a hallmark of T&T rods though there is a bit of light wear in places. The tips are marked with one and two black dots at the ferrules and tip-tops. Well endowed swelled butt that T&T is known for. Western style grip 6 3/8" in length with light soiling. Fine nickel silver up-locking reel seat with a beautifully figured mortised wood spacer. The butt cap features a socket in which the removable handle extension fits. Oxidized step-down swiss style ferrules size 15/64 with a nice and tight fit. Medium-fast action. Rod weighs 7 oz. without the fighting butt and 9 1/4 oz with. Includes original T&T bag with dowel stiffener and tag. The tube is a beautiful darkly tanned leather tube with a wooden cap and brass accents. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
