For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas "Salmon" bamboo rod -- 8'6" 2/2 7wt. Serial no. 4080. The rod is in near mint condition. The original fighting butt section is included. All sections are original, full length and straight. Transparent wraps with caramel-colored tipping as well as black tipping at the winding check and tip-tops. Flawless varnish. Bright guides. Tips are marked one and two at the ferrules. The rod features a lovely swelled butt that T&T is known for. Ring hook keeper. Western style grip. Fine, nickel silver, up-locking reel seat with a beautifully figured wood spacer. The butt cap is removable for use of the 3 3/4" fighting butt. Oxidized step-down swiss style ferrules size 15/64 with a nice and tight fit. Medium-fast action. Rod weighs 7 oz. without the fighting butt and 8 3/4 oz with. Includes original T&T bag with dowel stiffener and labeled tube with brass fittings. The fighting butt is uniquely housed in the opposite end of the tube with its own cap. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
