For sale here is a Tom Morgan Rodsmiths -- 8' 5wt 2 pc. fiberglass fly rod. Made in 2013 and finished out by Larry Kenney. The rod is in excellent condition having been fished sparingly and cared for well. Larry Kenney worked for many years at the Scott Rod Co. and contributed to many of their innovations over the years.

The rod features a maroon sanded glass blank with matching wraps and pale gold tipping at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. Bright guides. The original owner's name is written on the butt section along with the usual rod information. The full wells grip measures 6 1/4" in length with moderate soiling; the cork remains very smooth. Aluminum up-locking reel seat anodized to a dark bronze color with a fine walnut spacer. The spigot ferrule has a perfect fit with a 1/8" gap to allow for wear over time. The female ferrule features a bronze ring for added strength. Pale gold witness marks. The rod weighs 3.35 oz. The action is a smooth medium to medium-fast. The qualities inherent to glass allows for lively fights, terrific tippet protection, and delicate casts. The butt possesses a good amount of backbone for larger fish or windy days. A truly versatile rod.
