For sale here is a nice example of a Julius Vom Hofe Size 3 fly reel in excellent original condition. Made for Abbey & Imbrie (stamp visible on headplate). German silver foot is full length but has a slight kink in it. Nicely incised ring. Half crank arm appears to be NS and the hard rubber grasp is also nicely incised. Bolstered pillars appear to be german silver. Spool could also be german silver. Bronze arbor/spindle. High quality click unlike the later clicks in the JVH reels. Screws in very good condition. Would clean up really nicely.No cracks in the hard rubber. Can be fished right of left hand retrieve with strong enough tension for trout. All screws are in good condition.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.
