For sale here is an original wide model William Mills & Son "Fairy" Raised Pillar / Hard Rubber fly reel. 2.40" diameter (pillar to pillar). Pillar length is 1.00". The length of the bronze arbor inside the spool is approximately 0.80". It weighs 2.80 oz. Aluminum spool and nickel silver fittings. The half-handle has a hard rubber grasp and the foot is full length and unaltered. The reel overall is in excellent condition, inside and outside. The spring has a left hand retrieve bias. Stamped very faintly, "William Mills & Son N.Y." on headplate. A very rare reel in this size. The catalog scan is from the 1908 Mills catalog.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.
