From William Abrams of Housatonic Rods comes this "Edwards Presentation" model 8' 3 piece, 2-tip rod for a #4 line. Medium action. Dark oven temper cane. Built with a 3-up node pattern. Yellow wraps with brown edges. Somewhat truncated step ferrules with lineup marks punched onto the ferrules. Agate stripper. The grip is 11 corks and is done in what I would call a Hawes style (it tapers up most of the way to the front cork check and turns down just before the end). The front check looks to be made of Delrin with a radius scallop at the very front. Rear cork check has a "rope" knurl. The very long wood spacer looks like big leaf maple burl and finishes with a long nickel silver tube with a pocket cap brazed on. Black Delrin end cap. Aluminum tube with brass top. Engraved on top "EWE Pres. 8' 3pc., Wm ABRAMS, Rodmaker, 09" Tan colored rod bag with leather pull tab.
