Beautiful emerald green sanded blank with matching wraps, burgundy tipping at the signature wrap. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. The sleeve ferrules fit together perfectly. Fine, knurled, bright nickel silver winding check. The reverse half-wells grip is only lightly soiled and free of any defect. Bright nickel silver uplocking reel seat with a beautifully figured rosewood spacer. Etched in the bottom of the butt cap is, "R.L. Winston Rod Co.". The rod includes a removable rubber cap that fits over the butt cap, doubling as protection and a small fighting butt. The rod weighs in at 2.75 oz. on our digital scale. The action is fast and crisp. Perfect for casting dry flies with finesse. Though, the rod is by no means limited to that and handles nymphing and small streamers just as well.
