Winston, R.L. -- 8'6 6wt 4 pc. San Francisco-Era Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is an SF-era R.L. Winston 8'6" 6wt 4 pc. fiberglass rod with a marked weight of 3 3/4 oz. The rod is in excellent condition. All wraps are sound, as is the varnish and the blank itself. There is a bit of light overall wear. At some point, a touch-up coat of varnish was brushed over the script on the butt. Also, the u-shaped hook keeper has been bent out of shape. 

The rod features a deep maroon blank with crimson wraps and gold tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, and ferrules. Bright guides. The "loving cup" decal on the butt remains completely intact. Black painted aluminum winding check. The full wells grip is 6 1/4" in length with moderate soiling. Aluminum up-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The spigot ferrules fit together tightly as they should. The rod weighs 4.15 oz. The action is medium-fast. This is a great rod for light streamer work, dries, and nymphs. The four-piece construction makes it great for travel.
