For sale here is a R.L. Winston Boron IIx -- 8'6" 5wt 4 pc. graphite fly rod. Serial no. 117150. The rod is in near mint condition.

Dark green sanded blank with matching wraps, burgundy tipping at the winding check and signature wrap. The "R.L.Winston" decal remains in perfect condition as does the script. Aluminum winding check. The reverse half-wells grip measures 6 3/8" in length. Bright nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a zebrawood spacer. The sleeve-over ferrules fit together perfectly void of cracks or other defects. The rod weighs a lean 2.90 oz. The versatile action is fast yet retains a good amount of feel allowing for accuracy and lively fights. Arguably the perfect all around trout rod.
