For sale here is an R.L. Winston IM6 9' 5wt 2pc graphite rod. Serial no. 62523. The rod is in excellent condition with only light wear. Beautiful emerald green sanded blank with matching wraps, burgundy tipping at the signature wrap. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. Spigot ferrules for a smooth transition of energy and a more streamlined profile. The sections fit together perfectly with a 1/4" gap to account for wear over time. Fine, knurled, bright nickel silver winding check. Reverse half-wells grip. Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat with a beautifully figured zebra wood spacer. Etched in the bottom of the butt cap is, "R.L. Winston Rod Co.". The rod weighs 3.15 oz. The terrific action is a bit slower and with more feel than most modern graphite rods. The Winston IM6 rods have an almost cult-like following, known as one of the best graphite rods ever produced. The 9' 5wt is arguably the perfect all-around trout rod.
