For sale here is an R.L. Winston IM6 Tom Morgan Favorite (TMF) 8' 4wt 2pc graphite rod. Serial no. 16255. The rod is in excellent condition. Beautiful emerald green sanded blank with matching wraps, burgundy tipping at the signature wrap. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. Spigot ferrules for a smooth transition of energy and a more streamlined profile. The sections fit together perfectly with a 1/4" gap to account for wear over time. Fine, knurled, bright nickel silver winding check. Full-wells grip. Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat with a beautifully figured maple spacer. Etched in the bottom of the butt cap is, "R.L. Winston Rod Co.". The rod weighs in at 2.10 oz. on our digital scale. The action is slower and with more feel than most modern graphite rods. The taper finds the perfect balance between just enough backbone in the butt to the finesse and delicacy in the tip section. The Winston IM6 rods have an almost cult-like following, known as one of the best graphite rods ever produced. The 8' 4wt format is incredibly versatile, the only trout rod needed for many fishermen.
