For sale here is a Wright & McGill Granger "Victory" - Model 9050. 9' 3/2 for a 5 or 6 weight line. The rod is in excellent mostly original condition. The reel seat has been replaced with a Phillipson down-locking of the same period. Also, there is a 1 3/4" invisible repair wrap 4" up from the ferrule on the second tip. All sections are full length and straight.
Classic ammoniated cane with bronze and black variegated silks. Blued guides. The script remains dark and bold. Reverse-half wells grip with a rather wide diameter at the nose almost making it a full-wells. Replacement green aluminum down-locking reel seat very similar to those seen on Phillipson rods. Pleasing ferrule fit. The rod weighs in at 5.20 oz. The action is a classic medium fast with a good amount of authority in the butt section thanks in part to the swelled butt. Includes the original bag and fiberboard tube with label 95% intact.

There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. - Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
