For sale here is a 9' 2/2 Paul Young Ace bamboo rod. Made entirely at the Young shop circa '48-'50, unlike most "Ace" and "Special" marked rods which were made with outsourced blanks. Rod is darkly flamed, showing a heavy resemblance to the named Parabolic series rods in appearance, a very uncommon feature for a model without hand written script. Features a smooth wells grip with cork reel seat spacer and screw down locking reel seat with "Paul H. Young Co - Detroit" die stamped aluminum butt cap. Ferrules are blued Pernack step-down type. Wraps are dark burgundy. Original tan bag with replacement brass capped tube. Rod weighs 5 3/4 oz and will handle a WF7 line with authority to amazing distances. The action is medium fast and the taper is progressive. All original, straight & right. Excellent condition.

All items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
