For sale here is a classic and stunning Paul Young Parabolic 15 -- 8’ 2/2 weighing 3.93 oz. Made in Sept. 1957. All script on rod is in Paul Young’s hand. The heavier tip is marked “WET” and other is marked “DRY”. Both tips are serial numbered 2112 as is the butt section. Casts a DT5 or WF6 with authority. The cigar grip has been left uncleaned and is free of ridging. The reel seat is a mortised cork spacer with slide band and black aluminum butt cap stamped Paul H. Young Co. Detroit-Mich. Bent wire style hook keeper. Ferrules are excellent fitting, stamped Super Z, and are oxidized. Wraps are Young’s standard tan with spiral accents at ferrules. Original copper color bag and original Champion tube. Rod is straight with no repairs and none are needed; everything is correct and as it should be. Varnish surface shows minor signs of use/age.Overall, I would rate condition as excellent- original. Original Paul Young made rods in this condition are extremely difficult to find these days.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
