For sale here is a Paul H. Young Parabolic 15 bamboo rod -- 8' 2/2 5-6wt. Serial no. 2028. Made in 1956. The rod is in excellent original condition with a few exceptions. A light coat of touch-up varnish was placed on some of the ferrules and guides. One of the tips is short by 1/2", this tip has also lost its tip wraps though the tip-top remains secure. Lastly, there is some light wear to the varnish in the form of scratches and small chips. Both tips have slight yet easily mendable sets.
Beautiful mottle-flamed cane with copper-colored wraps. Blued guides. The script, in Paul's hand, remains clean and bold. It reads, first flat: John Seidel. Toledo.Sebt.'56 Second flat: "Parabolic 15" 8' - 3.75 oz. H.D.H. Third flat: Fer. 15/64 TipTop 5/64
Garrison-style hook-keeper. The Cigar/Garrison grip measures 5 1/2" in length with moderate soiling and remains quite smooth giving an overall handsome patina. A previous owner wrote, "D.R.R. LRH-HARDY" on the grip. Black aluminum cap and ring reel seat over a mortised cork spacer. The butt cap includes the Paul H. Young stamp. The Super-Z brand ferrules are size 15/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.85 oz. The action is medium-fast. Includes original bag and a replacement tube. Despite the minor issues, this is a wonderful Paul Young made Para 15.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
