For sale here we have a Paul H. Young "Parabolic 15" bamboo rod -- 8’0” 2/2 for a 5-6wt line. Serial no. 4539. The rod weighs 4.30 oz. with the wet tip and 4.25 oz. with the dry tip. The rod is in excellent refinished condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Beautiful mottle-flamed cane with bronze wraps on the tip sections. The butt section is wrapped in gold. The dry tip features a red band at the ferrule. Oxidized guides and ferrules. Bent wire U-shaped hookkeeper. Full wells grip 6 1/4" in length with only the lightest soiling. Black aluminum down-locking reel seat with "Paul H. Young Co. Detroit - Mich." stamped into the butt cap. Slight wear to the rim of the butt cap. The Super-Z brand ferrules have a perfect fit, nice and snug. With either tip, the rod is quite powerful and authoritative. On the faster side of medium-fast with the dry tip and just a touch slower with the wet tip. Includes a replacement bag and original tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
