For sale here is a very scarce Paul H. Young "Smidgen" bamboo rod -- 6' 2/2 3wt with a marked weight of 1 1/2 oz. Serial no. 4908. Made and signed by Todd Young. Near mint condition. All sections are full length with minor sets in the tips.
Beautifully varnished mottle-flamed cane with transparent chestnut-colored wraps. Black wraps with chestnut tipping at the ferrules. The script is clean and bold. It reads, First flat: Paul H. Young Co. Second Flat: "Smidgen" 6'0" ~ 1 1/2 oz. Garrison-style hook keeper. Diminutive cigar grip 5 1/4" in length with only light handling marks. Dual nickel silver band reel seat over a mortised cork spacer. The truncated Swiss-style ferrules are size 11/64 with a perfect fit. The rod's actual weight is 1.95 oz. The action is on the faster side of medium-fast. Original bag and tube with brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
